Today is the day where Malaysian celebrate their 50th independence. Yesterday, people of all ages and races came together for the country's biggest celebration yet. At the beginning of the month of August, there were many events held in conjuction with the Merdeka celebration for example the Festival Kesenian Rakyat Malaysia where profesional careografer will be performing tradisional dances from all over Malaysia from different culture and ethnic and the Malaysia International Fireworks Competition (oh so we kenot use la but they can? mana aci) which was held in Putrajaya. The fireworks display is just simply beautiful.I didnt join the celebration cause of the massive congestion all over the place but i did show my support by watching it on television in the confort of my home. there were parades and all, singing the national anthem 'Negaraku' which leads to prayers, hopes and wishes. And the reenactment of what happened 50 years ago with our current PM, Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi where he anounced to the public, Merdeka! seven times...
