tingling taste buds

this morning, around 6.30 am. i was awaken by the ruckus outside my bedroom. "wake up and get ready, we're going back hometown. my dad actually told us that we're going back today, guess i forgot to set the alarm. i woke up, turn on my laptop, and found out i was owned on 'warbook', but on the other hand i was safe and my upgrades was done on 'travian'. after settling some business and returning some favors, bout 7 am, i went to get ready...where later i found out everyone was ready. today was after so long living with my sis... where she didnt hog the bathroom. usually it's like watching grass grow.around 7.30 am, we got on the road and head for the country side. i was hoping that we get breakfast before we hit the road. unfortunately...OH the HUnger. being on the road when my dad drives, u have to listen to... *beep*... *beep*... you son of a *beep*. what can i say, he is 100% malaysian driver. if i put a cup of water in the car like in initial D, he'll spill all of it...i knew getting the civic was a bad idea... finally we reached the town, Bentongwe went breakfast at a restaurant/kiosk/kopitiam. its safely tucked on the river bank next to a basketball court. i ordered mix pork(X halal) noodles, mix beef noodles and milo ice. i cant help myself when i'm here, a man can only have so much will power. i blame it on the food. after that we head in to my grandma's house. there, all people do is mahjong, watch tv, karaoke, sleep, eat and chat.
lunch hour came, so i drew my fork and trusty spoon and dig in... self service buffet style. the food is not bad, very oily, salty and super unhealthy, kampung style...EXTRA in sugar, spice and everything not-so nice. my grandma house was situated next to a river, floods, bugs and reptiles are close friends of the family. the house is made of wood...so not much protection from the wilderness if you ask me... once in a while there will be flooding because believe it or not we're actually situated between TWO rivers...bummer. around 5 i head for home and ate at a place called Simon's in taipan...
