once in ampang (...finally) there was a tiny road leading to ampang lookout point. it was so tiny that we passed it twice without noticing it. luckily my car has 'gps' and it kicked in at the right moment. on the way to ampang point the road was awesome, the closest thing to a winding mountain road in initial D (...bout 5 minutes of it ) or the old highway road near karak highway. if you have a manual car, you'll definitely enjoy it...its dark without street lamps, its bendy with lots of blind corners, its steep...and it was raining when i was there...
look similar?
at the top, there's a few restaurant, one of them is called bread&olive ( highclass fine-dining ) and next door is the midclass western joint. entry to ampang point cost RM2 and i spent RM3 on the jockey parking in bread&olive...quite reasonable. the mid-class restaurant which name i had forgotten was packed with people. there was all sorts of people, family, friends even tourist... from our table you can see the view of KL but at the time it was raining it it got misty. the food was not bad although my mocha ice-blended could use a lil bit MORE mocha. it tasted like...diet mocha ice-blended. i ordered the sizzling chicken with ham, not bad at all. about 6 of us ordered the sizzling hot plate dishes, there was smoke all over the place when the food came. there was 6 birthday celebration in that restaurant...so imagine youself eating and the lights went out 6 times...at one time, who knew ice-blended could be so funny...we hung out in the restaurant for quite some time waiting for the rain to stop. after so long it does and the mist cleared. we took a short hike up the hill to a tower where you can climb up and get a better view of KL. the lightings on the tower was kinda awkward...which made the pictures taken...awkward aswell...after a while we hike down where everyone bid farewell. everyone living in malaysia should get their asses to ampang lookout point atleast once or twice in their lifetime.
