making an ASS of U and ME...

dinner was a bit funny today. it started while i was in my room. my sis came up and told me that mom and dad dont feel like eating dinner(...coz we had a pretty late lunch). sis was stressing out with her last minute studies and told me she aint wanna eat either. so i went down to have my dinner.

saw dad, he said he'll eat a bit so i prepared an extra plate for him. i was at the dinner table...chatting and eating with my dad when he asked me "mom and sis not eating?"...i replied "...dun think so". there was a ginger chicken, some vegetables and a bowl of soup. dad said since they're not eating so might as well finish the veges so we dont have to keep so many. so i ate all the vegetables, dad took the most coz i think he likes it(...who doesnt like my mom's home cook food right?). he said "you take half i take half"...i said "...ok". then he scooped 3/4 of the dish and put it on his plates, i went "wth?...half?". nothing i can do but to finish off the few branches and leafs.

the mom came in and said, "oi...u finished all the vegetables?". apparently my mom doesnt want to eat rice...but she wanted to eat some vegetables and chicken. i looked at dad and then asked mom..."i thought suann said you and her not eating?"...mom sighed. then i looked at dad again and said 'whoops'. then we broke out laughing...sis came down. i shot my words at her, she assumed that mom was not eating...

moral of the story...dont assume anything, in this case...2 person assumed and screwed it up... dont make an ASS of U and ME...
